HRM and Training and Development
Human resource management process which includes training and development helps employees to gain knowledge, skills and behavior. Gain knowledge, skills and behavior helps employees to perform well in the job and improve employee's growth in the company. Training can happen before start to do the job and on-the-job training. While giving training to employees HRM can train employees for current and the future job requirements which will give employees a good career opportunity in future. Educating employees, help employees to shadow the job and teaching employees about the job are develop employees in the company. Proper training and development improve employee job performance which will satisfy employees and make employees to retain in the company for longer period.
Training and development of HRM increase employee's productivity since training gives employees confident about their work. Give knowledge and skills to employees improve employee's performance and motive employees to engage in the work with satisfaction. When proper training and development given to employees the company can find best employees. Employees will be loyal to the company since the opportunities given to employees only based on employee's performance which also will reduce employee turnover in the company. HRM can keep talented employees in the company by provide them best training and development which will keep the company perform well in the market where the company operates. Make employees understand about the process and policies will reduce errors and safety problems in the company. HRM should create a culture with training and development which increase learning. Learning in the company helps employees to engage more in the work, do more production with innovative ideas.
Human resource management need to identify employees lacking areas through surveys and need to take the feedback of employees. After taking feedback of employees HRM should do training and development related lacking areas of employees in the work. All the training of employees lacking areas should relate with achieving the company goals. HRM need to create training timetable, training equipment and training methods which improve employee skills to achieve company goals.
HRM should train employees based on the capacity and resource in the company. HRM can give training in a room, training through online or on-the-job training which will motivate employees to engage in the work. Employees will learn new things, be more productive and create innovative ideas because of proper training and development given by HRM. Human resource management should keep reports to evaluate how training and development progress going in the company. Evaluation will give good understanding about which areas should be improved in training and development in the company. HRM also need to analyze feedback properly and reinforce the training and development program.
HRM can train employees through laptop and mobile which gives flexible and reduce cost of training and development. HRM should identify each employee's learning method and use learning techniques related with employee's learning method which boost employees to learn quickly with innovative ideas. HRM can introduce online games for employees which will boost employees to stay happy in the company with more engagement. While introducing online game HRM can give rewards to employees and motivate them. HRM training and development need to consider employees feelings, how to communicate in every situation and how to find many solutions for a problem and choose best solution for the problem. Finally collecting feedback from every position employee in the company will help to improve the lacking areas in the training and development. Collecting feedback from everyone helps HRM to motivate employees and achieve company goals like high productivity, employee engagement and less employee turnover.
