HRM in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)


HRM use Diversity, equity and inclusion as strategy to recruit variety of talented employees to the company. DEI creates the company culture where HRM make clear vision, mission and goals to attract employees towards the new culture. HRM creates new policies for the company and also train employees towards the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. HRM should focus on whether DEI involve with employee recruitment, decision making, managing performance and employee's engagement towards work. 

Human resource management of the company helps the DEI with hiring employees. HRM hires different religion, different race, different language, and different region employees which will give different kind talents to the company. HRM hiring employees unbiasedly also give good name to the company. Human resource management can include the company job profile with unbiased details which should attract job seekers towards the company. Human resource management should give proper training to the leaders regarding unbiased in any situation. Leaders being unbiased will help to attract employees towards the company management. Attract towards the company management will make employees to freely suggest innovative ideas and tell employees concern to the leaders and solve the problems. Once employees start to be transparent with management communication process will be quick and clear.


Company policies and procedures creates the culture of the company. Human resource management can create supportive system to the employees who have disability. Having DEI while recruitment process helps the company to fill the needed employee's positions with good talents.  Human resource management can become friendly with employees and get the feedback and ideas regarding the improvement of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Human resource management can use system to track and measure the development of the diversity, equity and inclusion process in the company. HRM can work with the company leaders to creates innovative ideas and strategies to develop the company and achieve the company goals. By treating employees equally, create a good company culture, diverse leadership and identify diverse and inclusion process over a period a company can improve the workplace and achieve its goals.

    1. Thank you Hasith. HR can include Job profile with DEI culture details and can answer questions in the interview regarding DEI culture. This will give good name to the company and HR can make employees to support the culture from the start.

    1. Hi Indrajith. Organozations can measure DEI impact by 'feedback' of employees which should include whether employees treated equally, unbiased and also do leaders being role model in the DEI culture (can find this by asking questions related with leadership and get the answer). Thank you.
