HRM involvement in Implementing New Technology
Human Resource Management involves with Implement new technology for recruit, train and reward employees. HRM uses technology and makes the HRM related processes efficient, effective and accurate. Instead of sending Curriculum vitae to the HR department of the company, job seeker can directly update their details in the company website and submit it to the company. From the submitted details employees will be shortlisted for the interview. After shortlisted, employees will have video call interview and online tests which is earlier happen physically in the workplace. The cost and time for the process has been reduce due to the implement of new technology.
HRM analytic tools helps the company to identify employee performance like punctuality, covering production hours and employee turnover over a period. Through analyze these periodical reports a company can make decisions and create strategies to develop. Employees can learn work related courses through web and develop their skills. HRM records all employee's performance using technology and at the same time employees also can give feedback regarding their performance related issues. Then HRM will have a look at that feedback of employees and helps to improve the growth of employees.
HRM conduct surveys through website and get the feedback of employees regarding management, organizing events and while implement a change. Get feedback from employees helps to keep employees engage more with the company with satisfaction. HRM helps employees while work remotely, where HRM made it possible to handle videos calls and projects without physically go into the process.
HRM in Future
Human resource management uses automation systems to answer the questions of the employees without biased and quickly. At the same time Artificial Intelligence helps to recruit genuinely and evaluate employee's performance unbiased. HRM uses technology to improve employee's learning and helps to develop plan for employee's professional life which boost employees to engage with the company and stay longer period. Using technology HRM can identify employee's performance and improve lacking areas with proper training. HRM focus more on protect data privacy and use it ethically using latest technology. HRM learn about implemented technology every time and promote the technology to the company employees which is best to practice.
Challenges
Human Resource Management should focus on human involvement in HR process since employees may feel bad about too much of technology involve in their jobs. HRM should keep an eye on the implemented technology whether it helps to all the employees. While using AI following ethics and while decision making keep clarity helps HRM to use technology well. HRM need to protect company and employee's data from outsiders. While working with latest technology HRM should focus on labor laws since there will be updates.
Artificial intelligence and automation system helps to the HRM nowadays and will help in future. However, HRM must focus on improving technology, at the same time need to focus on employees concerns regarding technology which will improve the workplace. Balancing technology and employees make employees engage with the work and employees retain in the workplace. Then the company can achieve efficient work with less employee turnover.
